Walking is the simplest and cheapest way to get some exercise. It’s also a very enjoyable exercise and can easily be done with friends and family. Getting into a habit of daily walking increases circulation, lowers blood pressure, cholesterol and can improve muscle tone. Experts say that walking longer is more important than walking faster. They recommend 2.5 hours of walking a week with a moderate intensity. You can start out with a short distant gradually increasing your speed and length and later on add some stairs or hills into your walk. As long as your walk is at least 10 minutes you will be getting the good health benefits.
