With the holidays upon us it is not uncommon to feel more stress. Holiday stress usually occurs due to the increased demands we make on ourselves and the increased demands we allow others to make on us. To reduce holiday stress start by lowering your expectations of yourself and the holidays. It is unrealistic to expect that the holidays will be perfect. Pay attention to your internal state and when you start to feel stressed while making plans consider modifying your plans to reduce stress. Staying centered and being available to those you love and who love you is more important than getting caught up in holiday pressures.
