Incontinence Due to Hysterectomy and Menopause
November 30th, 2007 by Tom Cobb
I have been seeing news reports recently quoting a study which shows that women who have had a hysterectomy show a higher incidence of incontinence. A quick search of the internet will also reveal articles discussing how menopause is also a risk factor for developing incontinence.
I would like to see studies comparing groups of women who have had a hysterectomy or who are in menopause and who do Kegel exercises regularly compared with a similar group of women who do not do Kegel exercises regularly. I would be willing to bet that those women who regularly perform Kegel exercises have much better outcomes regarding incontinence.
