Air Pollution Linked to Health Issues
May 7th, 2008 by Tom Cobb
The national Academy of Sciences reported people experiencing short-term exposure to smog can be linked to premature death. Apparently that is just the opposite of what the White House Office of Management and Budget says. They believe that no significant link has been shown. According to the panel of 13 their studies have shown strong evidence that exposure can worsen lung conditions that would require hospitalization possibly leading to death. It seems absurd to think that pollution and the state of the o-zone would have no bearing on our health. It shouldn’t be such an issue to try and put a cap on the pollution humans make.
