It has been stressed for a long time to wear sunscreen anytime you are outdoors. The only problem with that is, you get no sun exposure that is needed for making vitamin D in your body. Some dermatologists say that some sun exposure is ok as long as you don’t burn and are not out for long between the hours of 10am and 3pm. Supplements are good to be taking but the sun can do the supplement’s job just by being in it for 5 to 30 minutes twice a week. Vitamin D is important for strong bones and can help the fight against heart disease and some types of cancers.
